The date is fixed. The warning is yours.
Every alert starts from a date Relai already knows: a contract end, a mandate end, a window close, or the day a deal last moved. Settings › Alerts decides how early you hear about it. It never moves the date.
Rules are set once per workspace. Owners and admins change them. Members see the same page read-only, because it explains what they see on the dashboard.
Urgent and Coming up
The dashboard shows two bands under Needs you today. Coming up holds every item inside its warning period. Urgent holds every item inside its urgent period, due today, or already past. Each line names the player or deal, the rule, and the date or days quiet it is counting.
The bands are worked out on every load from the rules, not from stored events. A change in Settings shows the next time you open the dashboard. A rule switched off removes its lines. A milestone marked as decided never appears.
The rules
Date rules count down to a milestone on the player's Decision Clock. Regulatory rows show the article the date rests on. Clause rules are explained in the Clause Watch guide.
- Representation agreement ends
- The agreement's end date. Cites FFAR Art 12(2). Default: warn 30 days before, urgent on the day.
- Player becomes a free agent
- The day after the playing contract expires. Cites RSTP Art 18. Default: 30 days, then on the day.
- International pre-contract window opens
- Six months before expiry under the international baseline. Cites RSTP Art 18.3. Default: 30 days, then on the day.
- Likely final sale deadline
- The last registration window to close before the contract expires, read from the transfer window registry. Default: warn 90 days before, urgent at 30.
- Decide on the contract extension
- The option deadline written into a contract with an unresolved extension. Default: 30 days, then on the day.
- Start renewal talks
- An agency lead time in months before a playing contract or a representation agreement ends. Reminded on the day.
Movement rules count days since something happened on a deal or a clause. They read your own records: a stage change, a note, a Scenario, a communicated version, an accepted capture.
- Deal has gone quiet
- An open deal whose stage has not changed and which has had nothing recorded since. Default: flag after 21 days, urgent after 45.
- Offer awaiting an answer
- Communicated terms with no agreed terms and nothing sent after them. Default: 14 days, urgent after 30. The line opens the communicated version.
- Transfer window closing
- The next window to close for the destination club's association. Default: warn 21 days before, urgent at 7.
- Clause needs action
- A clause entered its approaching band, its count went stale, or it triggered with no recorded outcome. One day count, default 7.
Set a lead time
Open Settings › Alerts
Rules are grouped by the record their date hangs off: playing contract, representation agreement, deal and clause. Each row has a switch and a slider.
Drag the two handles
The outer handle sets the first warning. The inner handle sets the point where the alert turns urgent. The band between them is what Coming up covers. The handles cannot cross, and a warning under seven days is not allowed.
Release to save
Each row saves when a drag ends. A wrong value is one slider to move back. Agency lead rules use one handle over months instead of two over days.
Transfer windows
The transfer window registry sits on the same page. It is the one list of registration windows for your workspace, grouped by football association. Each window is named from the month it closes. Nobody types Summer 2027.
The Decision Clock reads it for every player's likely final sale deadline. The window closing rule reads it for every open deal. Edit a close date and both follow. Remove every window for an association and affected players show a data gap, not a guess.
The daily briefing
The briefing reads the same rules as the dashboard. A date is mentioned when it crosses the warning threshold and again when it turns urgent. It does not repeat every morning. Agency reminders such as renewal talks stay for a month after their day, like an overdue task.
Troubleshooting
- I raised a warning and lines appeared at once
- That is the intended meaning of asking for earlier warning. Any date already inside the new window moves into Coming up on the next load. Nothing is emailed again for a date that was already raised.
- A rule is on but a player shows nothing
- Check the Decision Clock on the player record. A milestone with a data gap, such as an unconfirmed club association, has no date and cannot alert. Confirm the association on the club record.
- The handles will not move
- Only owners and admins change lead times. Members see every rule and value with the controls disabled. Ask an owner or admin to change it.
- Tasks are missing from the bands
- Tasks are excluded on purpose. They have their own list and their own overdue treatment on the dashboard.
