Feature guide

How Objects work

Hide the built-in fields your agency does not use, add your own to players and deals, and decide whether a field always shows or only when it has a value.

In this guide›

Shape the record once, for everyone

Settings › Objects is where an agency decides what a record looks like. Pick an object, switch built-in properties on or off, add custom properties, and put them in the order your team reads them. Every record of that object follows, for every member.

Owners and admins change Objects. Members see records as configured and can edit values, not fields.

Built-in properties

Every record of an object carries its built-in properties. Each row has a lock, because built-in names cannot change, and a switch to show or hide it. Required properties show the word Always instead of a switch.

Built-in names stay the same across every workspace so that help, imports and exports mean one thing.

Custom properties

01

Choose New property

On Players or Deals, the Custom properties section has a New property action. The dialog says where the field will appear. Common player fields are offered as starting points.

02

Name it and pick a type

The type is fixed once the property exists. Choice types take the list of choices here.

03

Drag it into order

The drag handle sets the order. It drives the Player fields group on every record and the column order in the roster grid.

Text
A short note or description.
Number
A number without a currency.
Date
A calendar date.
Money
An amount with a currency.
Brand
A commercial brand from your workspace.
One choice
One item from a list you define.
Several choices
One or more items from a list you define.
Club
A club from your directory.

A web address.
Yes or no
Yes, no, or unknown.

Visibility

Every custom property has a visibility setting. Always shown puts the row on every record, empty or not, as a prompt to fill it in. Shown when it has a value keeps the row off a record until someone enters a value. The setting applies to the whole workspace. Nobody picks fields record by record.

Player Packs

A player property can be marked as eligible for Player Packs. Only eligible properties can be selected into a Pack. Fields whose name or key matches medical, identity, visa or safeguarding data cannot be marked, and the switch says why.

Troubleshooting

A field disappeared from every player
An owner or admin switched it off under Settings › Objects. The data is still there. Switch it back on and the row returns with its values.
I cannot switch a field off
Position and Club on players, and Stage and Deal type on deals, are required. They show a lock and the word Always instead of a switch.
A custom property is missing on one player
Its visibility is Shown when it has a value and that player has none yet. Open Edit fields on the record and enter a value, or change the property to Always shown.
I cannot mark a field as eligible for Player Packs
Its name or key matches a private category: medical, identity, visa or safeguarding. Those fields never leave the workspace.
A choice I removed still shows on a record
Retired choices stay on the records that already use them and leave the picker for new entries. That keeps old records honest.
